Gala Fundraiser Dinner and Psychological Trauma Workshop
at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco

Namaste,

Friends of Ayurveda would like to thank everyone who attended the Gala Fundraiser Dinner and Psychological Trauma Workshop at The Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. We were able to raise $10,000 from the events and through donations given generously by all of you. Our fabulous sponsors, Banyan Botanicals of New Mexico, Bazaar of India and OmniValue Inc. in California also helped us to reach our goals. In particular, Banyan Botanicals was kind enough to put forth a matching challenge, which inspired more fundraising during the Gala Dinner. Friends of Ayurveda is so grateful for your special support.

For the Gala Fundraiser Dinner, The Honorable Consul General H.H.S. Viswanathan was our Guest of Honor and our Master of Ceremonies was Dr. Len Saputo, both of these accomplished individuals enlightened the audience with their knowledge and heartfelt support. Also, during the Gala Dinner we had dance performances by Gopi Batra and Nitya Venkateswaran that they donated and musical accompaniment by Ben Kunin who played sarode and Brad van Cleave who was on tabla. These performances were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Dr. Kumar Batra warmly introduced Dr. Lad. Then Dr. Lad explained in an extremely moving speech why he has shared and will continue to share this valuable science of healing.

The evening was a milestone for Friends of Ayurveda and will be remembered as such. With the funds raised, the Ganesha Ayurveda Ashram will be able to begin developing the infrastructure of the property. Boring a water well is the first order of business, and then establishing electricity will be next. We have made major strides in establishing the Ganesha Ayurveda Ashram and with more generous help, construction of the building and its maintenance will become a reality so everyone worldwide will benefit from authentic Ayurvedic instruction and therapies.

Thank you again for contributing to this worthwhile cause.
